Executive Team

Tony Bishop, Founder & CEO
Tony is the Founder and CEO of Adaptivity. As Chairman and CEO, Tony leads the team and provides hands-on coaching, thought leadership and executive strategy support for our key clients and partners. He is an innovative IT executive, with an excellent track record in strategy, design, and the implementation of business-aligned enterprise technology platforms across large organizations. He most recently served as SVP and Chief Architect of Wachovia’s Corporate Investment Banking Technology Group, where his team designed, built, and implemented a leading-edge service-oriented architecture and utility computing infrastructure.

Tony and our team have been recognized by the industry with awards from InfoWorld, ComputerWorld, NetworkWorld, Waters, and Wall Street & Technology, among others, for their efforts in building world-class technology to differentiate their business. He has 20 years working as a user and as a supplier in various design, strategy, and architecture roles across multiple industries.

Tony is the recipient of 40 under 40 Most Innovative IT Leaders, Premier 100 IT Leaders as selected by ComputerWorld in 2007, and a member of Wall Street Gold Book 2007.

James Houghton, co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer
Jim is a co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Adaptivity. In his CTO capacity Jim interacts with key technology providers to evolve capabilities and partnerships that enable Adaptivity to offer its complete SOIT, RTI, and Utility Computing solutions. In addition, he engages with key clients to ensure successful leverage of the ADIOS™ methodology.

Most recently Jim was the SVP Architecture & Strategy Executive for the infrastructure organization at Bank of America, where he drove legacy infrastructure transformation initiatives across 40+ data centers. Prior to that he was the Head of Wachovia’s Utility Product Management, where he drove the design, services, and offering for SOA and Utility Computing for the technology division of Wachovia’s Corporate & Investment Bank. Jim has also led leading-edge consulting practices at IBM Global Technology Services and Deloitte Consulting.

David Antila, co-Founder & Chief Strategy Officer
David is a co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Adaptivity. David is responsible for overall company strategy (product and market) and operational delivery of the ADIOS™ solution that supports our team. He collaborates with the ADIOS™ and Labs teams to ensure the efficient delivery of existing and newly developed capabilities to our clients. Most recently David was co-Founder & CTO at The Last Mile Group where he led the development of the CommunityXPerts™ methodology, used to enhance the design and delivery of collaborative communities.

David is a senior market and product strategist with a unique blend of profitable business management, market visioning and customer interaction skills. He is a successful 25-year serial entrepreneur with depth and breadth of experience at senior levels in both start-up and mature business models. He has a track record of profitable product, marketing, risk management and business growth strategies and the proven ability to conceive, develop and take award-winning products to market, both domestically and internationally.

Sheppard Narkier, co-Founder & Chief Scientist
Sheppard is a co-founder and Chief Scientist of Adaptivity. Sheppard is responsible for evolving Adaptivity’s suite of intellectual property and institutionalized expertise. This includes our ADIOS™ methodology that incorporates our Fit-for-Purpose™ service execution constructs (i.e., utilizing only what is needed, when it is needed, minimizing waste, confusion, energy,) delivery of new capabilities into of our Quality of Experience (QoE) service delivery methods and tools. Moreover, he collaborates very closely with our team and clients on the constant evolution of our RTI Stack solution components and the associated Utility Operating Models we provide to our customers to ensure best in class execution and operations. Sheppard most recently served as Head of Software Portfolio Management and IT Governance at Wachovia’s Corporate Investment Banking Technology Group where he was part of a team that designed, built, and implemented a leading-edge service-oriented architecture and utility computing infrastructure.

Sheppard has over 30 years experience as a senior technical manager and architect. He has been recognized for building high performance, committed teams with a record of delivering measurable business value in demanding IT environments, such as stock exchanges and other financial services related firms. He has exhibited effective leadership as a facilitator of change, adept at synthesizing and executing a common vision to drive an organization’s goals.

Joseph Dixon, co-Founder & General Manager
Joseph is a co-Founder and the General Manager of Adaptivity. Joseph is responsible for all day to day operations of the organization and program management for all client delivery. Most recently Joseph served as Vice President of IT, driving Wachovia's deployment and roll out of Service Oriented Real-Time Infrastructure. His team was specifically responsible for Data center relocation/migrations, Desktop Architecture, Operational and Financial Management along with Vendor innovations and Value Positioned Integrations.

Joseph’s 17 year track record includes successful competition of numerous large scale relocations and/or migrations to lean IT based utility models. His track record also includes excellent financial control, administration and management for over $175MM worth of project deliverables with a 2% program variance.
